Deputy PM welcomes Korean NA official

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh received Chairman of the House Steering Committee of the RoK National Assembly Lee Hahn Koo in Hanoi on May 22.

At the reception, Ninh said Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening friendship and all-round cooperation with the Republic of Korea (RoK). The country will do its best to bolster the ties with the RoK, Ninh said.

The Deputy PM stated that Vietnam treasures the RoK’s cooperation and support in various fields such as economics, trade, culture and education, especially RoK businesses’ contributions to Vietnam’s development over the years.

He said he hopes RoK will create more favourable conditions for Vietnamese people to live and work in the RoK while expressing his belief that the Vietnam-RoK relations will be further promoted in the future.

He also praised RoK’s suggestion to exchange experience and support Vietnam in building a new model for rural development.

Lee Hahn Koo said his country wants to boost cooperation with Vietnam in bilateral aspects as well as at regional and international forums.

The regular meetings between senior leaders of both countries have significantly contributed to boosting the RoK-Vietnam ties, he stressed.

He highlighted the important role played by both countries’ National Assemblies and in promoting relations between the two nations.

Lee Hahn Koo noted that in the coming time, his country will send experts to Vietnam to help develop new rural area models and share experience in this field.
