Country sees 98,600 newly-established and re-operated enterprises

The whole country has 98,600 newly-established and re-operated enterprises in the first 5 months of 2022, up 25.8% over the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

On average, each month, 19,700 businesses were established or returned to operation. The number of enterprises withdrawing from the market was 71,800 enterprises, an increase of 20%, an average of 14,400 enterprises a month.

In May 2022, Hanoi has 2,400 enterprises registering for establishment, up 10% over the same period last year; registered capital reached 22.5 trillion VND, down 47%.

Authorities have carried out dissolution procedures for 341 enterprises, an increase of 43% over the same period last year. About 911 enterprises registered to suspend operations, an increase of 27%, besides 627 enterprises returned to operation, an increase of 10% over the same period last year.

In the first 5 months of the year, Hanoi had 11,500 newly registered enterprises, up 6% over the same period last year; registered capital reached 144.6 trillion VND, up 5%.
