On Mar. 20, in Ha Long city, the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee (QNPPC) held a conference to announce the Public Admistration Reform Index (PAR Index) 2017 of the localities and organizations in the province.
Accordingly, the Quang Ninh Department of Construction ranks the first among 20 provincial sectors and departments while Ha Long city tops 14 localities within the province, with 89.92 points and 88.89 points respectively.
Meanwhile, the Department of Culture and Sports, with 82.30 points, stands at the bottom of the rankings of departments and sectors. With 81.20 points, Van Don Island District is the lowest among the localities.
The announcement of the PAR Index is regarded as the base to monitor and assess the annual performances of public administration reform of localities and departments of Quang Ninh province. The index of sectors and departments involves 10 fields, 36 criteria and 51 sub-criteria. The one of cities and localities involves more than 10 fields, 29 criteria and 63 sub-criteria.
Speaking at the conference, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Long highly appreciated the efforts by localities and sectors in their performance of public administration reform. He strongly affirmed that the results of PAR Index greatly contribute to the improvement of the bussiness climate and the provincial competitiveness.
On this occasion, QNPPC granted merits to 8 organizations and 4 individuals for their excelent achievements in the PAR preformance.
