On July 31, Quang Ninh Department of Tourism held a conference on developing tourism products associated with agriculture. The event attracted the participation of over 50 delegates from relevant departments, branches, sectors, localities and travel agencies.
Over the past time, Quang Ninh Department of Tourism in coordination with relevant deparments, branches, sectors and some travel agencies carried out surveys at 35 agricultural production sites in 10 localities of Dong Trieu, Hoanh Bo, Uong Bi, Ha Long, Quang Yen, Dam Ha, Hai Ha, Van Don, Binh Lieu and Mong Cai.
At the conference, the delegates exchanged, discussed and contributed ideas related to the development of tourism products associated with agriculture. Accordingly, a number of issues have been raised, including: the necessity of infrastructure investment, propganda to change local people’s awareness and consciousness, the importance of human resouces, preferential mechanisms and incentives to support and dealwith difficulties for enterprises, organizations and individuals investing in tourism models associated with agriculture.
Through the conference, the Tourism Department would closely coordinate with relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to propose the Provincial People’s Committee to develop a project on “Building community-based tourism model in Quang Ninh Province with the goal of turning tourism products associated with agriculture into one of the key products of Quang Ninh tourism.
