A concert to celebrate the friendship between Vietnam and the Philippines will take place in Hanoi on March 19.
Titled “Vietnam- Philippine Friendship Concert,” the event will gather artists from the two countries, including pianist Raul Sunico, singers Joanna Ampil and Rachelle Gerodias from the Phillipines and artists from the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji, violist Bui Cong Duy and singer Duc Tuan from Vietnam.
Singer Duc Tuan will also join Joanna Ampil and Rachelle Gerodias to perform duets of the song “All I ask of you,” from the well- known opera “Phantom of the Opera,” and “Tonight” from “West Side Story,” respectively. The trio plan to sing the song “Impossible Dream” to close the show.
After the concert in Hanoi, the Filipino artists and singer Duc Tuan will move to Ho Chi Minh City to join the HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra for a concert on March 21.
