To mark 59th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit to Co To Island on May 9,1961 and his 130th birthday on May 19, Co To District will organize a series of activities from May 9 to 30, including the opening ceremony of Co To Culture, Sports, and Tourism Week 2020 which is expected to take place on May 23-24.
Specifically, an art performance, a “the best MC on Co To’s tourism” contest, and OCOP awarding ceremony and exhibition will be organized inthe evening of May 23 to welcome 2020 tourism season. Besides, there will be street arts,farm trips to promote tourism among Ha Long - Cat Ba – Co To, a marathon contest with the theme “for a green Co To, say no to nilon”…5-star speed boat service with the capacity of 300 people will be launched.
During the above-mentioned activities, the district pays attention to Covid-19 prevention and control in the new period to affirm Co To as a safe, friendly, and appealing destination.
