In Ha Long city on Dec. 19, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc sent wishes a merry Christmas to Catholic dignitaries and followers.
On behalf of around 43,000 Catholic dignitaries and followers who are living within Ha Long city, the priests sincerely thanked Quang Ninh’s leaders for their support to all Christians, and promised that Catholic followers will lead a good life, both secularly and religiously, and strictly follow guidelines and polices of the Party and State, especially the Law on Belief and Religion.
The Party’s Leader of Quang Ninh Nguyen Van Doc highly appreciated the contributions of the religious people in general and Catholic followers in particular to the achievements in socio-economic development of province. He hoped that Catholic followers will continue promoting their solidairty, joining hands in the development of the province.
Also at the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Van Doc listened to the priests’ wishes, and answered their questions ralated to policies and laws of State on granting land-use right certificates to the Christians; upgrading and construction of churches, etc. He directed each localities in Quang Ninh in general, and Ha Long city in particualr to continue to effectively support Christians in improving their living conditions so that they could all have a better life, and contribute to the development of Quang Ninh.
