President of Republic of Chile, Sebastián Piñera and his spouse paid a visit to Ha Long Bay on March 21 in the framework of the working visit in Vietnam at the invitation of the State President Truong Tan Sang. Mr. Tran Trong Trung, vice-chairman of Ha Long City People’s Committee has received the delegation.
Trung introduced to the President of Chile and his entourage about geological and historical values of Ha Long Bay - natural heritage and wonder of the world. He wished the Chilean President a successful working visit in Vietnam. For his part, Sebastián Piñera expressed his pleasure to visit the Bay and thanked Quang Ninh leaders for their cordial reception.
After visiting Ha Long Bay, the delegation left Ha Long city to continue their working visit in Vietnam.
