On July 18, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee had chaired a working session with Cam Pha City on its socio-economic development tasks in the first half of the year and launched tasks for the remaining months.
In the first half of the year, the industrial production and construction values went up 12.7%; agriculture-forestry and fisheries rose 9%; commerce increased 17.7% in comparison with the same period last year; the state budget collection exceeded 795 bil. VND, accounting for 52.75% of the plan assigned by the province. The investment promotion, administrative reform were focused. Cam Pha topped District and Department Competitiveness Index (DDCI) of Quang Ninh and ranked 6th in public administrative reform index.
Cam Pha’s completion of the new rural construction was recognized by the Vietnamese Prime Minister while specific measures were launched to implement the year’s action theme on “Improving the quality and effectiveness of services”.
Launching tasks for the remaining months, Cam Pha will review its socio-economic targets, come up with measures to manage the state collection and payment; support businesses and tighten public capital control; minimize basic construction debts. Besides, the city will continue to enhance its management in urban planning, natural resources, environment and ground clearance and well implement social and poverty reduction policies.
