At 8pm on Jan 12th, at Sun Carnival Plaza, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City a ceremony was held to celebrate 20th Anniversary of Ha Long Bay recognized as the world natural heritage for 2nd time and to announce National Assembly Standing Committee’s Resolution on the merger of Hoanh Bo District into Ha Long City and administrative units re-arrangement in Quang Ninh.
The celebration was organized in a large-scale event, consisting of 2 parts. The first part included speeches delivered by leaders from National Assembly, the province and the locality. The festive part was art performances to highlight the values of Ha Long Bay, which have been twice recognized as the world natural heritage; the future of Quang Ninh after the merger of Hoanh Bo District into Ha Long City and administrative unit re-arrangement.
The celebration closed with a fabulous firework display. The event was broadcasted live on different platforms of Quang Ninh Media Group, some provinces and cities’ channels, and Radio the Voice of Vietnam’s wave.
