The China-based Harbin International Power Engineering Co Ltd yesterday September 15, 2011 officially handed over the two thermo power plants of Cam Pha 1 and Cam Pha 2 to Cam Pha Thermo Power Joint Stock Co, under Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin).
Attending the hand-over ceremony, there are Mr Le Duong Quang- deputy minister of Department of Trade and Industry ; Mr Nguyen Van Thanh- vice chairman of the QNPPC as well as the leaders of Cam Pha town and Vinacomin.
The construction works on these two thermal power plants officially started in April 2006. Harbin International Power Engineering Co Ltd was the main contractor for these projects.
The supervisors were Fichtner GMBH Co and Co.KG Stuttgart, Germany in association with Vietnam Power Engineering Consulting Co No 1 (Vneco1).
The two power plants have total designed capacity of 680 MW. These projects have investment capital of 10.635 trillion dong.
After over one year in operation, the two thermo power plants have been in stable operation, supplying over 4 billion KWh to the national grid so far.
In 2011, Cam Pha Thermo Power Joint Stock Co set targets to reach 3.72 billion KWh.
