A number of tourism attractions in Cam Pha city has recently been recognized and announced in the summer of 2018, while the infrastructure improvement is continuing to be fulfilled. However, with strategic development and effective management, Cam Pha city is making efforts to target sustainable tourism.
In the mid-Apirl, Hoang Gia Quang Ninh Trade and Tourism Ltd., Co. launched the operation of 2 tourist boats to Bai Tu Long bay with the capacity of 66 passengers per each and total investment of VND10 billion. This is also the travel agent who operates the high speed boats from Cam Pha city to the islands of Minh Chau, Quan Lan, Co To, Cat Ba.
As reported, nearly 100 VNDbillion has been invested in improving the infrastructure system and enhancing the quality of tourism and services of the tourism attractions, such as Cua Ong temple; Luong Ngoc and Quang Hong beaches; Vung Duc relic and tourist spot, etc. to welcome the summer season. To date, Cam Pha has launched hotlines at tourist sites to receive feedbacks and comments from tourists. In addition, rescue teams have been set up, and many robust measures have been undertaken to ensure security, safety and environmental sanitation for tourists.
The recent announcement of the 5 tourism sites has effectively affected tourism promotion of the city and allured the increasing number of tourists in comparison with the same period last year. According to the statistics, the total number of visitor arrivals to Cam Pha city in 2018 was 950,000, up 50,000 over the same period of 2017. In the first quarter of 2019, the city welcomed around 300,000 tourist arrivals, and earned over VND20 billion in revenue.
With the orientation of developing tourism into the key economic driver, the city will organise tourism activities in line with tourism programs of the province. Local people, enterprises and tourists have been actively mobilized to creat a healthy tourism climate and raise the awareness of protecting the environment and cultural heritages.
Related to limitations facing the city in tourism development, Cam Pha aims to concentrate on improving the quality of human resource in the areas of state management, services and tourism bussiness operation. Tourism promotion and cooperation for tourism development have been intensified in different ways, including setting up the linkage with other localities in the province and other provinces nationwide to develop tours and tourism routes so that potential and strengths of the locality would be effectively tapped. In other hands, Cam Pha city also wishes to receive more financial support from the provincial budget and social mobilization capital to develop modern and comprehensive tourism infrastructure.
According to the local functional authorities, Cam Pha city will continue to promote and enhance investment in tourism to develop a range of particular tourism products, such as: spiritual tourism, eco-tourism, leisure tourism, health tourism. Therefore, tangible and intangible cultural heritages will be continuously preserved and promoted.
Tourism products will be invested with all capital sources and natural tourism resources will also be effectively exploited, ensuring sustainable tourism development.
