Being bestowed by nature with untouched landscape and fresh air, Cai Chien has been paid special attention to promoting its potential and strength to become an attractive high-end beach tourism area in future.
Cai Chien island commune has nearly 200 households living by agricultural farming, fishing or serving tourism at the weekend. Thanks to the tourism development, dozens of households have invested in developing homestay tourism with hundreds of rooms, gradually meeting tourists’ demands.
Cai Chien has great potential for tourism development thanks to its beautiful and poetic natural landscapes in the cool and fresh air. Coming to the Cai Chien, tourists have amazing experiences of catching snails, cuttlefish and fish at sea, visiting natural mineral water slot on the island which is considered as one of the 10 cleanest water sources in Vietnam. Furthermore, Cai Chien is also favored by nature with its rich forest ecosystem and plenty of wild animals.
Based on the outstanding potential and values, over the past time, Hai Ha paid much attention to promoting the strengths of Cai Chien beach tourism. The highlight is the national electricity grid supply project to the island with a total investment of nearly 198 bil.VND which put into use in April, 2016. Also in 2016, Hai Ha District announced the introduction of the 1/2,000-scale planning for Cai Chien island commune. These are important prerequisites to promote tourism and attract large investment, thereby fundamentally changing the look of the island commune.
Along with that, currently, the district has attracted the investment from some enterprises such as Long Vu Ltd Co., Sao Cai Chien JSC., Cai Chien Development Factory, Cai Chien Development Investment Factory.
In order to manage tourism in a healthy, organized and sustainable manner, Hai Ha has also promoted training courses on community-based tourism; collection and treatment of domestic and marine waste; linking Cai Chien with places such as Tran Hung Dao Temple – Hai Ha Pagoda in Phu Hai commune or Bac Phong Sinh border gate in Quang Duc commune, etc to form ecotourism tours and routes and destinations.
