With the total investment capital of VND 339 billion, the route is nearly 1.5 km in length, ranging from the old Martyrs’ Memorial at Ben Doan ward to Lan Be-Cot 8 sea boundary route.

At present, Quang Ninh relevant departments and the contractor, Thang Long Construction and Mechanism Joint Stock Company, are making every effort to accelerate progress towards opening the road for traffic on National Day September 2.

To meet the target, about 100 technical engineers and workers are mobilized to site to perform this work everyday. The project has currently got 90 percent of the workload, according to the provincial Department of Transport.

After completion, the route not only is an ideal place for tourists to enjoy World Heritage Ha Long Bay’s beauty but plays an important role in reducing vehicle traffic on the route from Loong Toong intersection and Clock Column to the city’s centre and the province’s eastern districts.

The Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh PPC Do Thong directed the contractor to complete the work by the end of August.

He also asked the Key Building Management Board to continue supervising the implementation of the project to ensure a safe and efficient Bai Tho mountain sea boundary route./.
