According to the news from Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, from the beginning of the year up to now, aquatic product capacity reaches 65,388 tons, accounting for 83.8% of the plan, up 21.7% in comparison to the same period last year.

Units under the agriculture sectors have so far provided 421 million of breeds, attaining 86.4% of the plan.
According to the reports of localities, to date an area of 18,434 hectares has been used for aquaculture, of which 8,838 ha is for shrimps; 2,000 ha for mollusc; 1,157 ha for fish and 1,700 ha for other aquatic products.
