The annual festival at the An Sinh Temple in Dong Trieu town kicked off on October 9, attracting a great number of pilgrims and tourists to commemorate 8 Kings of the Tran dysnasty, who made significant contributions to defending the nation.

During the festival, locals and visitors had chances to participate in many activities and folk games, like the traditional chess competion, tug of war,etc.
As reported, there were 3,000 tourist arrivals to the festival on the opening day.
An Sinh temple is situated in the historical relic complex under the Tran dynasty in Dong Trieu. It has been classified as a National historical relic since 1962. The An Sinh Temple festival annually takes place on Aug. 20 of the lunar calendar aiming at promoting the tradition and historical value of the country, as well as contributing to enhance the protection and preservation of the Tran historical relic in Dong Trieu district.
