On Sept 20, Dong Trieu District People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the 2016 festival of An Sinh temple. Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long, along with other provincial leaders and represntatives of provincial departments and sectors, attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, delegates and local people offered incenses to memorize Tran kings at An Sinh, Thai temples and Tran Hien Tong royal tomb.
An Sinh temple is situated in the historical relic complex under the Tran dynasty in Dong Trieu. It has been classified as a National historical relic since 1962. The An Sinh Temple festival annually takes place on August 20 of the lunar calendar aiming at on one hand promoting the tradition and historical value of the country, and on the other hand contributing to enhance the protection and preservation of the Tran historical relic in Dong Trieu district .
