It’s awesome to go on a tour of Halong city on open-top double-decker buses. Tourists will enjoy an excellent experience to explore a variety of attractions across the beautiful coastal city.
The service is going to be launched also in the evening as well and tourists will be granted free tickets to the Quang Ninh museum.
Operated by Vietnam - Hanoi Tourism Company since June 18, 2019, the service has attracted a lot of foreigners visiting the city without the need of a tour guide.
The bus stops at 9 tourist and trading sites including Bai Chay Tourist Area, Ha Long 1 Market, Square Oct 30th, Quang Ninh Museum, Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center, Ha Long Flower Park and Tuan Chau Park, Royal Lotus Hotel, and Vinpearl Ha Long. The total length of this route is 53km.
Each bus can accommodate up to 60 passengers. It is equipped with automatic interpretation system in 7 languages namely English, French, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese, providing complete information about the city, which is useful for visitors coming to Halong for the first time.
Passengers on board receive all conveniences, including free Wi-fi, USB charging ports, a refrigerator, earphones, surveillance camera and automatic payment machines.
The tour operating from 9am to 6pm daily for 60 minutes each tour and fares range from 179,000 to 299,000 VND.
The operation of the buses helps diversify tourism products in the locality, contributing to the promotion of Ha Long tourism and easing the traffic pressure on inner city roads when tourists use personal vehicles for sightseeing.
According to the Vietnam-Hanoi Tourism Company, some new routes are going to be launched when the autumn comes. It’s going to charge tourists only VND99 to go sightseeing from Bai Chay Tourism Area to the administrative centre of Halong city or to the international tourist complex of Tuan Chau. These two new routes with the total length of 30 kilometers each will last from one to one and a half hour and travel through the most beautiful roads of the city. The company also plans to grant free tickets to Quang Ninh Museum to those who use its service.
