The General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) added turgid venus to the list of Vietnamese aquatic products eligible to be exported to China. The approval took effect from May 10.
As reported, Quang Ninh had difficulties in selling more than 3,000 tons of turgid venus due to the influence of Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, Quang Ninh submitted a report to the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to propose China to add turgid venus to the list of the Vietnamese aquatic products eligible to be exported to China.
This is a good news for Quang Ninh’s agriculture sector. According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the total annual productivity of turgid venus in the province reaches 10,000 -12,000 tons.
