On Oct. 3rd, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee organized a meeting to review the preparation plan for the 9th conference on economic corridor cooperation between Vietnam’s Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hanoi, and Lao Cai, and China’s Yunnan. Vice-chairman Quang Ninh’s Vice-Chaiman Bui Van Khang presided over the meeting.
The biennial event will take place from Oct. 24th-26th in Ha Long City. Within the framework of the conference, representatives from participating provinces will evaluate achievements and difficulties during the implementation of the previous conference’s cooperation MOU, reach agreement on future cooperation to boost ties among provinces, and build Kunming – Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh economic corridor as an effective development model between Vietnam and China.
In order to successfully organize the event, Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairman asked the Department of Investment and Planning to work with Economic Zone Management Board to choose representative enterprises to attend the conference. As for organization activities, he required departments, sectors and localities to closely coordinate with each other to ensure effectiveness.
