Quang Ninh welcomed 9.7 million tourist arrivals in the first nine months of 2017, a year-on-year rise of 18%.
Meanwhile, the number of international arrivals hit 3 million, up 20 % against the same period last year.
The tourism sector of the province grossed VND 12.1 billion in revenue, up 28 % compared to the same period last year.
In the first nine months of the year, the functional authorities and localities in the province have taken robust measures to improve the bussiness climate and tourism activities within the province, espeacially the operation of the travel agencies.
The tourism sector plans to continue intensifying propaganda, fostering the travel demands of domestic tourists and extending international visitors market, particularly prepare the best conditions for the 2018 National tourism year and the 2019 Asean forum which will be held in Quang Ninh.
