On Nov 7th, the 26th Asia-Pacific Legal Metrology Forum (APLMF) co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, and Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) took place in Ha Long City.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Tran Van Tung, and Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairwoman, Vu Thi Thu Thuy.
It also attracted the participation of about 100 representative leaders of legal metrology authorities from member countries, including powerful economies namely the USA, Japan, and China.
Speaking at the forum, Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairwoman believed the event would promote the development of legal metrology in the region, supporting economic development of the member countries, and removing barriers to trade, market expansion and international integration.
The forum runs till Nov 8th.
