The Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, on November 21st, granted prizes in cash to 240 mobile subscribers across the country who won the texting campaign to vote for Ha Long Bay as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World.
The campaign, launched by the Quang Ninh People’s Committee to promote and encourage everyone to vote for the Ha Long Bay, will deliver total prizes of VND 2.66 billion from the Provincial budget. Up until 6.11pm on November 11th, 2011, more than 24 million texts were sent to 147.
At the awards ceremony, the organiser offered prizes to 240 subscribers. Namely, 216, 22 and 2 subscribers, numbered 100,000th, 1,000,000th or 10,000,000th, received VND 10 million, 20 million and 30 million, respectively.
