On the evening of Aug.9, at Big C Ha Long Commercial Center, the Deparment of Industry and Trade opened 2019 Quang Ninh OCOP Product Promotion Week, and launched a movement against plastic waste. Quang Ninh’s Standing Vice Chairman and Head of the provincial OCOP Steering Committee, Dang Huy Hau, attended the event.
Under the framework of the program, the Department of Industry and Trade asked production and consumption distribution units to sign a commitment on taking action against plastic waste, thus calling on and mobilizing Quang Ninh’s enterprises, cooperatives and production facilites to join hands in environmental protection. The event lasting from Aug.9 – 11 has attracted the participation of 35 booths displaying typical products of OCOP enterprises cooperatives from 14 districts, towns and cities in the province.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, the Standing Vice Chairman Dang Huy Hau acknowledged Quang Ninh’s enterprises, cooperatives and production units’s great efforts in plastic waste prevention over the years and emphasized that the participation of the whole society in limiting the use of nylon bags and plastic products is needed.
