The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Tourism Association announced winners of the 2016 Vietnam Tourism Awards at a ceremony held in Hanoi on July 9.
The awards, hosted by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Vietnam Tourism Association, honoured 105 outstanding travel agencies, hotels, services providers and carriers in the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam presented the prizes to the winners, who were out standing performers in their respective categories in 2015, included the top ten of five-star, four-star and three-star hotels and the top ten tour operators of inbound, outbound and domestic services, 10 golf courses, 5 tourism complexes...
Ha Long Fishing Village Cuisine Restaurant and Tuan Chau tourism complex, two tourism companies in Quang Ninh, were among leading companies recognised in the categories of Vietnam's leading restaurants and best tourism complexes.
The event aims to encourage tourism firms to improve their service quality and competitiveness and diversify products towards expanding their business. It helps promote responsibility and creativity among tourism enterprises to contribute to the country’s tourism development. This is also one of the significant part of activities to mark the 56th founding anniversary of the tourism sector.
