On December 25, the monthly meeting of the provincial People’s Committee became the first one without paper documents. This activity is part of the province’s plan to build an e-government and smart city.
At this meeting, paper is replaced with ipads, a kind of digital devices, as the medium through which information is presented and shared. All activities related to the meeting such as informing the schedule, sending letter of invitation, preparing essential documents, sending delegates’ comments, registering for speaking at the meeting, etc. are undertaken on digital system.
By doing paperless meetings, we can reduce carbon footprint, access data any time, and save resources. It’s a major and convenient upgrade from paper-based meetings.
As planned, this type of meeting will be applied to all of the provincial People’s Committee’s regular meetings from now on.
