On September 8, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Council (13th tenure), term 2016-2021 organized its 19th meeting. Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee, cum Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky presided over the session.
Addressing the session, Secretary of the Quảng Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Xuan Ky, emphasized that in the 8 months of 2020, Quang Ninh is a frontline affected by Covid-19. However, under decisive leadership and joint efforts of the whole political system, local people, and business society, the province has initially succeeded in the dual target. Quang Ninh well controls the pandemic. Economic growth in the first half of the year is posted at 5.7%, among the top highest nationwide. Total state budget collection in the 8 months reaches 32,319 billion VND, achieving 67% of the estimate and a year on year increase of 4%.
Quang Ninh’s Secretary also affirmed that the meeting plays an important role as its resolutions will enhance measures and mechanism to contribute to improving the efficiency of managing of budget revenue and expenditure in 2020.
