On Sep. 21, in Ha Long city, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Ninh (QPYU) opened its 11th congress of the 2017-2020 term. The opening ceremony was attended by Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee Nguyen Van Doc, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Long, Secretary of the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Long Hai, as well as other leaders of Quang Ninh province and leaders of the QPYU in the previous terms.
Reporting on the task performance in the 2012-2017 term, the Secretary of the QPYU Nguyen Hung Son strongly affirmed that overcoming difficulties and challenges, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of all levels has made great efforts to successfully fullfil their assigned tasks and gained ramarkable results. The achievements are also the great impetus for all the Youth union members across the province to continue their contributions to the construction and development of Quang Ninh province.
Emphasizing on the role of the Youth, the leader of QPYU said that the Youth play vital role in many activities, such as new rural development program, administrative reforms, environmental protection, mobilizing young people to learn foreign languages and computer skills, etc.
At the congress, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee Nguyen Van Doc, and Secretary of the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Long Hai made the remarks, focusing on the tasks, orientations as well as goals and the youth's activities in the next term.
Mr. Ngo Hung Son, the leader of the QPYU was re-elected as the Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union, and 45 members were newly-elected in the Executive Committee of the QPYU in the 2017-2020 term.
On this occasion, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee granted merits to the excellent individuals who had great contributions to the youth movements during the 2012-2017 term.
