On December 18, the Opening ceremony of the XII Vietnamese-Chinese Friendship Youth Meeting and the Vietnamese-Chinese friendship singing Festival took place in Ha Long City.
Attending the Opening ceremony were Ms. Do Thi Hoang, Deputy Standing Secretary of Quang Ninh province Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hien, Vice Standing Chairman of Quang Ninh province People's Council, leaders of departments and agencies and many young people in Quang Ninh.
Present at the meeting were also Mr. Phan Van Mai, Standing Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Central Youth Union, delegation of Chinese Youth Union, Mr. Ly Trach, Secretary of Communist Youth Union of Zhuang ethnic minority Autonomous Region, Guangxi province and 100 representatives of Chinese Youth Union.
Speaking at the Opening ceremony, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Standing Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Central Youth Union said: That was an opportunity for not only Vietnam and China but also Quang Ninh and Guangxi to strengthen cooperation, he also affirmed the determination of the youth to study, communicate.
Mr. Phan Van Mai expressed his hope and belief that the XII Vietnamese-Chinese Friendship Youth meeting would improve the two countries' evergreen, long lasting Youth Union friendship.
The XII Vietnamese-Chinese Friendship Youth meeting is held annually in the framework of cooperation between the Youth Unions of the two countries, reinforcing the role of youth in preserving and developing the traditional relationship friendship between the two nations.
At the opening ceremony, the representatives watched a TV program on activities strengthening the bilateral relationship, singing songs praising the traditional relationship friendship between the two nations./.
