Works to start on 4 projects with a total investment of over VND 280,000 billion in October
The information was released at the meeting to review the preparation of legal procedures for the launching of 4 key projects next month. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Tuong Van.
Four projects include Green Ha Long complex urban area, Dong Trieu golf course, LNG Quang Ninh power plant and Van Ninh general port (phase 1). These projects have so far been ready for their inauguration.
The investment intention report of Ha Long Xanh complex urban area has already been approved by the Prime Minister. With a total investment of over VND 230,000 billion, the project is located in Ha Long city and Quang Yen town which is adjacent to the Hai Phong - Ha Long - Van Don highway. Green Ha Long complex urban area is expected to significantly contribute to promoting the local socio-economic development. Especially, the urban area will generate unique tourism products on the basis of exploiting the potential and strengths of the sea border in Ha Long City and Quang Yen Town, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.
A 27-hole golf course project in Dong Trieu town will also start construction in October 2021. Situated on an area of 130ha, the course will have low-rise accommodation projects, high-rise hotels, golf training courses, green landscapes, entertainment areas, high-class eco-resort space, etc.. and have a capacity to serve about 800 guests/day. .
Besides, other 2 projects comprise LNG Quang Ninh power plant and Van Ninh general port (phase 1). LNG Quang Ninh power plant is invested in Cam Thinh Ward, Cam Pha City. This will be the first imported LNG power plant project in the North of Vietnam with an expected capacity of 1,500 MW. Upon completion, the project will add a large amount of electricity to the national grid, contributing to ensuring energy security. At the same time, the power plant will affirm that Quang Ninh is a major power production center of the country. Cam Pha city has conducted site clearance to actively support investors.
Investments in the technical infrastructure of Van Ninh general port (phase 1) will also be started. Upon completion, the port will form a hub for import and export of sea cargo at the Mong Cai border gate area which is the premise to form a logistics infrastructure network in this area.
