The Vietnamese delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Thanh Son, is attending the UNESCO Executive Board’s 190th session from October 3-18 in Paris, France.
Viet Nam has cooperated well with UNESCO to implement many activities, including holding a sea exhibition in Portugal in 1998; joining programs of IOC/UNESCO in France and IOC/WESTPAC in Thailand; constructing plans for science actions in Hungary in 1999; selecting candidates for UNESCO scholarships; preserving and bringing into play 8 biosphere reserves in Viet Nam, and others.
Viet Nam’s participation in UNESCO’s activities has not only shown the country’s international integration process, but also confirmed its contribution to science and education in the organization.
