On June 3, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam officially signed Document No.664/TTg- KGVX agreeing with establishing FLC University in Quang Ninh Province.
Operating under a non-profit private university model, the FLC University project received high appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Training and passed the appraisal of all related agencies and units in the legal completion process.
The result have been achieved after more than two years of developing ideas, researching, exchanging, establishing and bringing the most advanced educational programs in the world into the project of establishing FLC University, with the coordination of the senior personnel of FLC Group and international leading experts on higher education and postgraduate from USA, Japan, Australia, Switzerland, France ...
According to the project approved by the Prime Minister, the FLC University will be built on an area of 50 ha at Ha Lam Ward and Ha Trung Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, with an estimated investment total of nearly 4 trillion VND.
The FLC University sets its target of being ranked QS rating and ASEAN University Network (AUN), AACSB for business administration program, creating the best conditions, meeting international standards for students to study at the university in Ha Long City.
With three key majors including high technology, tourism and aviation, the University is expected to enroll about 600 students in late 2020. This number will increase to 6,100 students by 2024 and 10,000 students by 2035.
In order to meet the first enrollment plan in 2020, along with the process of implementing legal procedures, preparations for human resources and high quality facilities for training activities of the FLC University have been urgently deployed by the FLC Group.
Thanks to the thorough consultation from Australian prestigious designers, the university’s space design has been completed and expected to be the world's leading infrastructure and training system, providing the best academic facilities for students and lecturers.
Currently, the FLC Group has urgently worked and implemented legal procedures with Quang Ninh People’s Committee, thus speeding up the construction progress of the FLC University this year.
