Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air's filght schedule via Van Don International Airport
As reported, the Van Don International Airport will be officially put into operation on Dec. 30, 2018. To date, Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air are the first carriers to launch flights via the airport.

The national flag carrier of Vietnam will exploit flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don with a frequency of a flight per day by Airbus A321. Accordingly, the flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 2 p.m, and from Van Don at 4:45 pm with an expected flight time of 2 hours and 5 minutes.
Currently, VNA is running a promotion program to sell tickets with the price of VND 800,000 one way for economy class (excluding tax and expenditures).Tickets are now available at ticket offices, agents nationwide and on the official website of Vietnam Airlines.
The budget carrier VieJet Air will operate the flights between Ho Chi Minh city and Quang Ninh via Van Don International Airport with a frequency of a flight per day. Vietjet Air will operate return flights on the route from January 20, 2019 by Airbus A320 and Airbus Industrie A321. The flights will depart from HCM City at 7:00 and arrive at Van Don at 9:15. The return flight will take off from Van Don Airport at 9:50 and land in HCM City at 12:05.
Tickets are being sold with the price from 0 VND to 900,000 VND (excluding taxes and fees) on its website at www.vietjetair.com.
Passengers on flights to Van Don international airport are offered free entrance to Yen Tu relic site (in Uong Bi city), Ha Long Bay Natural Heritage site and Bai Tu Long Bay (excluding overnight visit on the bay) within 30 days. Incentives will be offered to the passengers for a duration of 3 years from Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec 31, 2021.
