Viettel Post, an affiliate of the Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel), on December 3 announced the launch of VIPO Mall, the first two-way cross-border wholesale e-commerce platform in Viet Nam.

According to a representative from Viettel Post, VIPO Mall directly connects Vietnamese customers with international suppliers and vice versa, without intermediaries.

VIPO Mall is designed with a user-friendly Vietnamese interface and supports payment in Vietnamese Dong, providing a convenient wholesale shopping experience for users.

VIPO Mall has ability to integrate the entire process, from product search, order placement, and payment to shipping, all within a single platform. Users can easily track the status of their orders, from purchase to delivery, through the platform's app or website, ensuring transparency and convenience in managing transactions.

Notably, it will shorten delivery times by 3-7 days compared to other services, optimizing costs for the entire supply chain.

Viet Nam's e-commerce market is estimated at US$22 billion this year, ranking third in Southeast Asia behind Indonesia (US$65 billion) and Thailand (US$26 billion).

The market has grown by 18 percent from last year, the third fastest rate behind the Philippines (23 percent) and Thailand (19 percent), according to the e-Conomy SEA 2024 report by Google, Temasek and Bain & Company.

Viet Nam's market is forecast to maintain this growth rate, averaging over 19 percent annually and reaching US$63 billion by 2030. At that point, it is projected to surpass Thailand, ranking second in the region, just behind Indonesia.

E-commerce accounts for over 60 percent of Viet Nam's digital economy this year, establishing it as one of the two main growth drivers alongside online tourism.
