Two cruise ships bring over 4.700 int’l tourists to Ha Long
The cruise ship of Noordam ((Dutch nationality) carrying nearly 3,000 foreign passengers and the Malta-flagged luxury cruise with 2,806 on board, arrived at the Ha Long International Cruise Port on November 12.
The Noordam ship docked at the Ha Long International Cruise Port at 8am while the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship called the port at 10 am.
Most tourists come from Europe and America, and this is also the main group of tourists visiting Ha Long during the annual cruise season.
Right fter arriving at the port, tourists divided into many groups to visit and explore the beauty of Ha Long Bay, other famous scenic spots such as Yen Tu, Long Tien Pagoda, Quang Ninh Museum. Some groups chose to travel further such as Hanoi and Ninh Binh.
As scheduled, the Noordam ship will leave Ha Long port at 11pm the same day to continue its journey to explore the Central region, with the next destinations being Hue and Da Nang.
The Celebrity Solstice will stay one more day in Ha Long before leaving the port at 7:30 p.m. on November 13 for Hong Kong (China). It is expected to return to Ha Long 4 more times in 2024, bringing tens of thousands more tourists to Quang Ninh province.
According to the municipal Department of Tourism, Ha Long anticipates hosting around 70,000 tourists aboard between 60 and 70 cruise ships this year, with the year-end period expected to be the peak season.
Typically, the city experiences bustling cruise tourism from November of the previous year through April of the following year.
