On Jan. 16, Vice Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh, member of the Central Party Committee paid a visit and sent Happy New Year greetings to the Party, Government, Army forces and people of all ethnic groups of Quang Ninh. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, the Provincial Party Committee Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Van Doc, Chairman of QNPPC and other leaders of QNPPC received Vice Prime Minister.
At the reception, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh has briefly reported to Vice Prime Minister remarkable achievements in socio-economic development of Quang Ninh in 2011. He confirmed that under the direction of the State and Government, the collaboration of ministries and sectors, the support of cities and provinces in the nationwide as well as the active involvement of the whole political system in the province, Quang Ninh has successfully completed the assigned tasks in all areas, such as economy, culture, society, consolidation of national defense and security, poverty reduction, new rural area development and education.
Regarding tasks in 2012, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Quang Ninh will focus on the key issues, namely: national security and defense, political stabilization; strategic planning; applying and transferring science-technology; administrative reforms; service and industrial development; education and training; and infrastructure development.
Vice-Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh expressed his pleasure and praised good results that Quang Ninh has achieved in 2011, contributing to the industrialization and modernization of the country. He encouraged Quang Ninh province to overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully complete its tasks in 2012, focusing on economic development; political stabilization and national sovereignty protection as well as promotion of the Party development and rectification.
Mr. Vu Van Ninh on behalf of the Party and Government’s leaders wished the Party, Government and People of Quang Ninh province good health, success and achievements to contribute to the development of the province in particular and the country in general.
During his visit, Mr. Vice-Prime Minister has also visited and sent Tet greetings to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Quang Ninh province.
