In celebration of the 81st anniversary of National Day on September 2 (1945–2026) and Quang Ninh becoming a city, communes, wards and special zones across Quang Ninh have organised a wide range of cultural, artistic, physical training and sports activities, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere among people from all walks of life.'
Communication and visual promotion activities have been implemented in a coordinated manner at key locations, including gateways into and out of Quang Ninh, border-gate areas, administrative centres, squares, major roads, residential areas, offices of agencies and units, and cultural institutions. Across Quang Ninh, more than 400,000 Party and national flags have been displayed, along with 500 billboards, over 70 promotional clusters and more than 160 LED screens, helping create a well-decorated and dignified appearance.
Many localities have organised programmes imbued with distinctive cultural identities while providing additional spaces for recreation and community exchanges. Cam Pha ward held the “Cam Pha Ward Countryside Market” with 22 booths, offering shopping opportunities and experiences reflecting traditional cultural colours.
Ha Long ward organised an art programme themed “Proud of Quang Ninh City”, while Cao Xanh ward held the “Quang Ninh Aspirations – Cao Xanh Cup 2026” pickleball tournament.
In Co To Special Zone, celebrations of National Day and Quang Ninh becoming a city have been marked by a lively series of physical training and sports activities, attracting large numbers of officials, soldiers and residents as participants and spectators. At the same time, the art programme “Historic Milestones – Quang Ninh Aspirations” featured distinctive performances, helping spread pride and inspire aspirations for development among officials, soldiers and island residents.
In Luong Minh commune, the Highland Cultural Market took place in a lively atmosphere, alongside the 2026 Summer Football Tournament for Teenagers and Children and football, pickleball and air volleyball exchanges among villages, agencies and units in the locality.
Mong Cai 2 ward organised the Mong Cai (Vietnam)–Dongxing (China) Friendship Football Tournament, helping strengthen exchanges and solidarity between people in the two border localities. In Dong Trieu ward, all residential areas organised air volleyball and cultural exchanges in celebration of the occasion.
The widespread series of activities has brought the atmosphere of the September 2 National Day celebrations to residential communities across Quang Ninh, creating a joyful and uplifting mood while fostering pride, solidarity and renewed momentum among the people towards a modern, dynamic and developing Quang Ninh city.
