Two cruise liners carried 2,200 European, American and Chinese tourists to Ha Long
On January 4, Ha Long city welcomed two cruise liners carrying about 2,200 European, American and Chinese tourists.
China-based Zhao Shang Yi Dun cruise with 200 passengers on boar docked in Halong on January 3. This is the 6th time this ship has docked in Ha Long since late November 2023; the total number of guests was about 5,000 ones.
The Westerdam, one of Holland America Line's Vista class cruise ships, carried 2,000 passengers to Ha Long on January 4. As planned, the ship is going to return next month with 2,000 passengers.
The visitors explored popular destinations around Ha Long city such as Quang Ninh Museum, as well as took a city tour to gain greater insights into local culture and cuisine.
Previously, Ha Long International Cruise Port welcomed two super cruise ships on December 31, with the vessels bringing nearly 4,000 European and American tourists to the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay world heritage site.
So far, the number of registered port calls for 2024 has approached 60, bringing over 70,000 passengers, mostly well-known and prestigious brands such as Mein Schiff 5 and 6, Celebrity Solstice, Noordam, MSC Splendida, Westerdam, and others.
