On Sep 18, a working delegation from Quang Ninh met with Gwangju Mayor Park Gwan-yeol in Gwangju, Gyeonggi province (ROK), home to the Namhansanseong World Cultural Heritage site.

Three years after UNESCO approved the extension of the Ha Long Bay–Cat Ba Archipelago World Heritage Site, Quang Ninh is gradually completing a unified, modern and sustainable management model that combines heritage conservation with green tourism development and the effective promotion of the World Heritage Site’s values.

Amid the thousands of limestone islands of Ha Long Bay, the Bong moc plants quietly take root on sheer limestone cliffs, forming a unique part of the World Heritage site's ecosystem. Beyond adding a vibrant splash of colour each season, this rare plant is listed in the Vietnam Red Data Book and stands as the sole representative of the endemic Vietnamese genus Sinoradlkofera minor.

On the evening of August 17, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ceremony announcing the outstanding universal value of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac World Cultural Heritage, alongside the special art program “The sounds of Yen Tu - An eternal heritage.”
