The final round of the China - Vietnam Friendship Singing Contest 2012

In the evening of Oct. 6, at Vietnam- Japan Culture and Labor Center (in Ha Long city), the finale round of China-Vietnam Friendship Singing Contest 2012 was officially opened. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Do Thi Hoang, Deputy Secretary of Quang Ninh provincial Party's Committee and the leaders of the relevant provincial departments.

The China-Vietnam friendship singing contest is a special cultural activity, a bridge that helps to connect people of the two countries contributing to the solidarity and friendship relationship between China and Vietnam. This is also an opportunity for them to exchange, explore and understand outstanding cultural values of the two nations. The contest is annually joitly held by Guangxi People’s Television and Radio Station, China International Radio, Vietnam Digital Television Corporation (VTC), Radio and Television Stations of northern coastal and mountainous - midland provinces of Vietnam, and Quang Ninh Radio and Television.

The contest attracted a large number of contestants from provinces of Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Son La, Hai Phong, Phu Tho... and Quang Ninh. 10 excellent contestants and groups of contestants were selected to participate in the final round of the region.

In the final round, each contestant presented a Chinese song and a Vietnamese one. Their excellent performances have made strong impression on the audiences. The first prizes were awarded to Mr. Đinh Văn Luong (Quang Ninh) . The second one belonged to Mr. Đo Quang Thai (Hanoi) and Ms. Ho Thuy Trang (Son La), and the third one were awarded to Ms. Bui Thi Thu Huong (Quang Ninh) and Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh (Phu Tho)
