In the evening of August 30th, in Ha Long city, a ceremony was held to receive the bronze drum gifted by Mr Le Kha Phieu – the former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party for Quang Ninh Provincial Party and people from all ethnic groups within Quang Ninh province.
The bronze drum that was gifted by the former General Secretary is a copy of style and design from Dong Son (Thanh Hoa) bronze drum – a traditional cultural symbol of Vietnam.. Many patterns on the drum’s body and surfaces bear the typical images of Quang Ninh province.
On behalf of Quang Ninh people and Provincial Party, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh – a member of the Central Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee respectfully thanked Mr Le Kha Phieu for his special sentiment for the province.
The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that Quang Ninh people and Provincial Party will treasure this bronze drum as a cultural product reminding revolution tradition of Vietnam. The province will continue to maintain its revolution tradition and develop its internal resources, as well as promote its solidarity spirit in production activities in order to develop Quang Ninh richer and more civilized.
