On June 19, in Ha Long city, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc chaired a meeting with Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam Tanee Sangrat, who lead the Thai delegation to seek for investment opportunity in Quang Ninh.
Receiving the delegation, Quang Ninh’s Secretary Nguyen Van Doc made a brief introduction of Quang Ninh’s potential and advantages, focusing on the ones for infrastructure development, especially transport infrastructure. Notably, recently Quang Ninh has completed a system of expressways connecting Hai Phong with other localitites of Quang Ninh; Van Don international airport and a system of seaport that is favourable for developing economy and tourism. Therefore, with a comprehensive transport system, Quang Ninh has become a magnet for not only domestic but also foreign investors, including Thai investors like Amatar group.
He also strongly affirmed that the good relationship between Thailand’s Udon Thani and Vietnam’s Quang Ninh province as well as the cooperation between Quang Ninh and some of the Thai investors are being further developed, contributing to tightening the friendship of the two countries of Thailand and Vietnam.
For his part, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam Tanee Sangrat sincerely thanked Quang Ninh’s leaders for warm welcome and cordial reception. He said that he will do his best to call for Thai investors to explore investment opportunities in Quang Ninh and boost trade cooperation with the province in fields which they are interested in, thereby contributing to fostering the close relationship between the two countries in general and the two provinces in particular.
After the meeting, Quang Ninh’s leaders continued to work with the delegation, along with representatives of Thai cities and provinces and nearly 30 Thai investors.
