On Dec.2, Quang Ninh Economic zone Management Board had a talk with the Management Board of the Dongxing National Development and Opening-up Pilot Zone regarding economic cooperation through the border Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China).
During the talk, participants of the two sides were informed about the implementation of the labour cooperation through border agreement between Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China).; the project on developing the Vietnam-China cross border Economic Cooperation zone.
Also at the talk, participants had the chance to discusse about various issues, namely: the achievement resulting from the implementation of works that had been agreed at the previous talk held in May, 2016; the progress of the Bac Luan II bridge construction as well as mechanisms related to the Vietnam-China cross border Economic Cooperation zone and other relevant issues within responsibilities and authorities of the two sides.
The Economic Cooperation zone through Vietnam-China border is defined as an vital functional zone with a role of driving factor fostering the development of the Mong Cai Border Economic Zone. It was determined in the construction masterplan of the Mong Cai Border Economic Zone to 2030 and in vision of 2050, approved by the PM on Sep. 18, 2015.
