On Dec. 30, in Ha Long city, QNPPC had a meeting with representatives from financial and banking sector to preliminarily evaluate the results of expenditures and revenue of provincial budget , as well as banking services in 2011 within the province. The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Doc - Chairman of QNPPC, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Vice Chairman of QNPPC.
At the meeting, leaders of all units have presented their reports regarding revenue and expenditure of State budget of the province. Accordingly, revenue from the State budget of the whole province reached VND 28,374 billion by Dec. 29, exceeding 25% of the estimated amount.
Of which, import and export tax revenue reached VND 14,846 billion, exceeding 17% of estimation; domestic revenue for budget balance was VND 13,301 billion, exceeding 34% of the estimated amount. With these achievements, the State budget revenue of the province ranks the fifth out of 63 cities and provinces in the nationwide. 2011 is also the year that has the highest ever revenue of Quang Ninh.
Expenditure components for development investment in 2011 have been adequately met. The total expenditure of provincial budget was over 11 billion VND, up to 31.7% of the estimated amount. Of which, expenditure on development investment attained VND 6,145 billion, a rise of 141.7% of the estimated amount at the beginning of the year; regular expenditure was VND 5,194 billion, accounting for 95.6% of the estimation. In 2011, banking sector has developed the network of credit organizations, particularly in remote areas. Operation of State management has been improved and mobilization of idle money in all social groups gained good results.
To conclude the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Doc, on behalf of the provincial leaders, highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of financical and banking sector in 2011. Especially, despite of the complicated context of world economy, thanks to active involvement of the whole political system, the efforts of financial and banking sector, expenditure and revenue of state budget of the province still achieved encouraging results. Mr. Chairman also emphasized that the economic situation of the country in 2012 will continue to be more challenging but he believed that with its efforts, banking and financial sector in 2012 will successfully complete its tasks to contribute to the general development of Quang Ninh province.
