On Nov. 25, in Ha Long city, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Chinh had a coutersy meeting with a delegation of Vietnam Union of Friendship in Mie prefecture, Japan during their working visit to Quang Ninh. The delegation was led by Mr. Ono Kinichi, senator of the Mie prfecture and Chairman of the Union. The discussion was about the Hi-tech agricultural zone in Dong Trieu project.
At the reception, the Secretary of Quang Ninh expressed his happiness to welcome the delegation to the province. He highly appreciated the proposal presented by the Union. He also stressed that development of clean agriculture and application of high technology in agricultural production will be the key trend of Quang Ninh. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the Union should work with other revelant provincial departments to reach final agreement on the objectives and investment phases. Especially, the responsibilities of the two sides need to be clarified.
The Secretary committed that, once the project proposal is completed, Quang Ninh will work with the government and related ministries to seek for appropriate investment capital and carry out the next phases of the project. He hoped the cooperation relationship between the two sides will be further developed. On this occasion, Chinh sent his invitation to the Mie prefecture’s Governor to visit Quang Ninh and discuss about possible cooperation opportunities in details.
On behalf of the delegation, Ono Kinichi thanked Quang Ninh’s leaders for their cordial reception. After the site survey in January, he found that Quang Ninh has great potentials to implement the project. He said that there are many investors and businesses of Mie prefecture who are keen on Quang Ninh and would like to invest in the province. Mr. Ono Kinichi hoped that the cooperation of the two sides in this project would be successful.
