The second daisy festival will open at Ba Vang pagoda in Uong Bi city, the northern province of Quang Ninh, on October 9th (the 9th day of the 9th lunar month of 2016).
As scheduled, the opening ceremony will be attended by thousands of Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, followers and visitors.
The festival aims to converge the fine traditional culture of Vietnamese people associated with daisies and Buddhist culture.
Apart from admiring daisy flowers, visitors can join traditional cultural and art activities such as calligraphy performance, cheo and tuong performances, or flower arranging competition among craftsmen.
The event has become one of the cultural festivals in Uong Bi city in particular and Quang Ninh province in general, contributing to the development of the Yen Tu spiritual tourism destination.
