Mr. Do Thong, standing vice-chairman of QNPPC on Oct. 19 had a meeting with delegation of SE Corporation (Japan) headed by Mr Fujimori Yoshihiro- director of Research Center, Infrastructure Development Institution (under the Ministry of Land and Transport of Japan).
The SE is an investor who specializes in researching application of high-tech equipments in constructing transport, urban and industrial projects. The Corporation wished to explore opportunities to invest in two projects, including project on the road linking Ha Long city and Hanoi- Hai Phong highway, and the project on addressing landslide area on the foot of Bai Chay bridge.
At the working session, Mr. Do Thong expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation to visit and explore investment opportunities in Quang Ninh. He provided the delegation with some information about legislative procedures as well as technical data pertinent to the project on the road linking Ha Long city and Hanoi-Hai Phong highway project. This project will help shorten the time and distance from Quang Ninh to Ha Noi.
Also at the meeting, Mr. Vice-chairman of QNPPC shared with the delegation about impression of Quang Ninh people toward the projects that have been invested by Japanese partners in the province, such as Bai Chay bridge, Cai Lan port system, Japan-Vietnam Culture and Labour Centre. These projects are symbols demonstrating the friendship between Japan and Vietnam in general and between Japan and Quang Ninh province in particular.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr Fujimori Yoshihiro sincerely thanked the provincial leaders for their cordial reception and information about the projects in which they are interested. On behalf of the SE Corporation, he promised to do their best to comply with all guidelines and procedures. At the same time, he also confirmed to rapidly make necessary decisions regarding the investment and report to QNPPC at their earliest convenience.
