The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and the Vietnam Tourism Association jointly held a ceremony at the Hanoi Opera House on December 8, to present the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2011 to 52 leading tourism businesses. The Saigon Ha Long hotel is the only one of Quang Ninh that has receive the award for the leading four-star hotels of Vietnam.
In order to achieve this award, the hotel must meet the criteria such as excellent performance, effective business, and ensuring security for the tourists, and good building-capacity to improve the service quality. In addition, the winning hotels must have great contribution to the State budget, pay attention to the environmental protection, food and labour safety and actively join social activities.
This is the 3rd time the Saigon-Ha Long hotel has won this honorable award, which helps to affirm its trading brand. This award reflects efforts of all the leaders and staff of the hotel in upgrading infrastructure and improving the service quality. As reported, the Saigon Ha Long hotel was one of the ten hotels to be awarded for Green ASEAN Hotel 2012 at the beginning of the year.
The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2011, the most noble award by the Vietnam tourism sector, was firstly launched in 1999 with the name of “Top ten international travel agencies and Vietnam’s leading hotels”. In the year of 2010, it was named Vietnam leading tourism businesses.
