On Oct. 7, in Ha Long city, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (hereafter Vinacomin) has held a meeting to sum up business production tasks in the first nine months and implement new tasks in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Accordingly, in the first nine months of the year, Vinacomin has exploited 35.6 million tons of raw coal and consumed 32.6 million tons of commercial coal, of which 12.3 million tons were exported accounting for 74% in comparison to the annual plan and equal to 105.2% over the same period last year.
Additionally, Vinacomin has manufactured and installed 117 cars, generating 4,798 million KWh of electricity; producing 48,000 tons of industrial explosive materials…Revenue of the whole Group reached VND 65,682 billion, of which revenue from coal consumption gained VND 42,161 billion, up 18% compared with the same period last year.
In the remaining months of 2011, Vinacomin aims to exploit more than 12 million tons of raw coal; to focus on processing and improving the quality of coal; to speed up construction of coal transport infrastructure; as well as to appropriately operate the production and consumption of other mineral products.
