"Tourists’ satisfaction must be focus of Vietnam tourism development"

This issue prove an urgent need made by Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan-Head of  the Government’s Steering Board for Tourism at an online conference on improving Vietnam tourism environment held on June 6th.

The conference also drew the great attendance of the Vice-Chairwoman of QNPPC Vu Thi Thu Thuy and other leaders of relevant provincial departments in Quang Ninh.

At the conference, the leader of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has made a snapshot covering Vietnam's current tourism development. Many reasons were stated and solutions were suggested by participants in order to improve the national tourism environment in the future.

For her part, Vice-Chairwoman of QNPPC has reported to the Deputy PM the situation and measures to improve tourism environment of the province. Thuy stated that Quang Ninh tourism sector has recently gained remarkable achievements during its development. However, shortcomings and limitations still exist in tourism business environment.

Thuy said that Quang Ninh has carried out a number of comprehensive measures with the aim of intensifying the management of tourism business environment within the province. Specifically, QNPPC issued Decision 11/CT-UBND on enhancing the management of tourism business environment; a temporary regulation on management of tourism business environment within the province clarifying specific missions and management zoning for the relevant departments and sectors; setting up a hotline to update information of tourism business environment...

In concluding the conference, Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan, Head of  the Government’s Steering Board for Tourism emphasized that tourism is alsways determined as a key economic sector. However, the tourism growth is slowing-down due to negative tourism environment. Nhan also directed the Ministry and provincial department to review all the measures that helps to develop tourism and improve a safe and friendly tourism environment, in order to overcome these above shortcomings.

Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan hailed Quang Ninh's proposal to draw a Regulation on managing Ha Long with specific mechanism.
